Feedback

Script P.I.M.P. is dedicated to helping writers maximize the potential of their material and ultimately having their scripts optioned, sold and produced.

"Dear Chadwick,

I wanted to write you and let you know how well thought of your script coverage service is by writers. I did a survey of writers in my network and received comments on just about all of the script coverage services available to writers (big and small). I found that 5 times more writers have emailed us recommending you than any other script coverage service.

Glad you are helping writers and keep up the good work!

Sincerely,"
-Jerrol LeBaron

President, Ink Tip

"Could you pass along my thanks to my reviewer for turning around the coverage so quickly? I truly appreciate the excellent customer service! I am working on the suggested revisions and they are making my story sing. I am humble and grateful to have someone of such obvious talent helping make my scripts all they can be."
-Paul Bruno (June, 2004)

"Script P.I.M.P. did not help me find one agent that was interested in representing my script. Nope, not one. Three! That's right. In little time, I had three offers for representation because of the opportunities presented by Script P.I.M.P. I realize there's a lot more work to do, but the road beneath me is moving faster now and things definitely looks brighter."
-Jorge J. Lomastro (June, 2004)

"I recently received coverage on a re-submission and wanted to let you know what a great job I think you do. All the criticism is spot on and very helpful. I am planning a re-write and would like to re-submit the script a second time. "
-Tom Schiavetta (June, 2004)

"Man, you guys are good! As usual, many good ideas to make my script better. Thanks for such great service."
-Paul Bruno (June, 2004)

"Thanks for the great analysis--I've passed my script around to a few services, and these notes were the best so far in detailing its problems. I look forward to resubmitting in the future."
-Jim B. (May, 2004)

"I started sending my script in about a year and a half ago and worked with my evaluator through five or six drafts. I was able to take my script from a pass (and a pretty dismal one at that) to a recommend. I could never have done it without my evaluator's help. The insight provided was invaluable. Thanks to Script P.I.M.P. my screenplay has some promise now, whereas otherwise it would have only a year's worth of dust accumulation."
-Kevin Schmadeka (May, 2004)

"I truly appreciate your confirmation email. I can tell you: Just getting an email indicating you received my script already puts Script P.I.M.P. ahead of many other script services and contests out there! "
-Brian Young (May, 2004)

"Thank you very much! I feel the development notes are well worth the $195 and way way beyond the critique of friends."
-Dave Avina (April, 2004)

"Many thanks for you notes on my script and the kind comments."
-Chris Marton (April, 2004)

"Dear Mr. Clough,
Thanks for the Script P.I.M.P recommend my script "Catching Hell" received from Sean McKittrick. It appears that being on Script P.I.M.P's recommend list has opened some doors for me. Anyway, I want to thank you for your services. I wasn't expecting such a stellar review from Sean--unexpected but welcomed. :) "
-Allie Davidson (April, 2004)

"Hi Laina, Thanks for getting the evaluator to email me the development notes on time. He is awesome, and was extremely helpful - more intuitive than any other coverage I've had done before. I'm impressed and grateful."
-Robb Hanna (March, 2004)

"Hi Laina, I hope you are well. I recently received an e-mail from Everton Scott of My2Centences asking to read our script Minotaur, which was given a consider by scriptpimp. Apparently, the script was mentioned to him by your CEO. I have sent the script to Mr Scott and although I realise that he may not find it suitable, this is not the only contact we have had through your agency. Therefore, myself and my co-author would just like to send our sincere thanks to everyone concerned at scriptpimp for making it so much easier for our script to circulate. We are determined to make the next script we send to you a recommend, and then that will make your life easier as well! "
-Adewole (March, 2004)

"Hi Laina. Also, my thanks to the evaluator. The notes were clear and concise with very
constructive and helpful suggestions."
-Bernie (March, 2004)

"Chadwick,
I've said it before but I'm gonna say it again, your monthly email newsletter is the most informative and most useful of all that I receive. I don't know how often writers stop to let you know they appreciate your efforts but I sure do. Thanks again for keeping the flame going. "
-Ted Westby (March, 2004)

"Chadwick, The notes are awesome. We're very impressed with not only the attention to formatting, but the insight into structure. "
-A & J (March, 2004)

"Dear Chadwick,
I just read your review notes. Wow, they are outstanding! It's remarkable what a fresh pair of eyes can see. Thanks is too lame a word."
-Steven Ford (March, 2004)

"Hi, Chadwick: Thank you very much for the this incredibly insightful feedback! We will
work hard on our revision and will definitely re-submit the script to you for re-evaluation."
-Susan Boyer (March, 2004)

"Thank you for your professional help on how to make my script a better one!"
-Benjamin J. Plesha (March, 2004)

"Laina, wow, that's so kind of you to send a note. I will gladly state that this would not have happened without the find coverage and guidance I received from Scriptpimp's coverage service. The ideas and advice given helped take the script to the next level. Between the blessing of God and help from Scriptpimp we made it this far. Sincerely,"
- Paul :-) (March, 2004)

"This is the second script I've sent to scriptpimp and the comments on both have been insightful and cut right to the heart of the problems with the scripts. You're helping me become a better screenwriter. Thanks!"
-Mike (March, 2004)

"Thanks Chad! You're the best. My new script Between Yesterday and Tomorrow is on it's way. I sent it today. I hope you guys like it. Thanks for all your help. Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without you."
-Elizabeth H. Vieira (March, 2004)

"From my perspective, the experience was well worth the money and the hassle/time. Sean McKittrick provided me with the validation I have been seeking for some time.
The reason I thought Sean would be a good evaluator of my screenplay was because he produced Donnie Darko. It lead me to believe that if he understood that screenplay, there's a good chance he'd understand mine, and I was right. He totally, totally got it! He got the nuances and my humor too. It was great! It was really great to talk to someone who actually understood it. It gives/gave me a great sigh of relief. I was seriously beginning to wonder about the industry as whole. I was beginning to wonder about the level of intelligence, knowledge, ability and overall capacity of the people who are supposedly supposed to comprehend screenplays. It made me start to feel that there was no hope for Hollywood and no hope for me either. I was starting to feel that if these are the folks running things over there, it's not a group I want anything to do with.
Sean is the first person who really understood what I was trying to achieve and offered helpful, constructive commentary that I can hopefully use to make my screenplay be more of what I intended it to be. Almost every single other evaluator, instead of offering comments to help me improve the screenplay I had written, offered comments about how to turn the screenplay into something they would have written or something they would like to see written. I was seeking commentary on what I was writing. He's the first person who offered comments that would help me polish MY screenplay, as it is, not tell me how they would have written it. Kudos to Sean, to Laina, to the whole shebang!"
-Christina Hazelwood (February, 2004)

"Hello,
I'd just like to thank the reader of my screenplay, F.B.R. I found the feedback very helpful and insightful throughout. So thank you very much for giving feedback on the screenplay in its entirety and giving thoughtful remarks throughout. I look forward to resubmiting my screenplay sometime in the future. Sincerely,"
-Joseph Bauer (February, 2004)

"Thanks El Presidente Chadwick, for all the great information. Just incase no one ever says thanks."
-Maya Z (February, 2004)

"Hi Laina,
Just a short note to say how wonderful I found Sean McKittrick's analysis of my script. I felt he unlocked things in my story that I wouldn't have done myself and gave me concrete steps to take in order to make it a sellable script. Full Marks - 10 out of 10. He seems like a very nice guy as well. Also, well done to you guys at Scriptpimp for providing this service"
- Furqan (February, 2004)

"I was very pleased with the comments / suggestions made by my reviewer on my script... I felt every comment and suggestion had merit and showed the reviewer took the time to thoroughly review the script... and were presented in such a way as to be encouraging not degrading which helped in providing enthusiasm to do a rewrite based upon the feedback... One of the primary goals of submitting a work for coverage is to receive feedback that can make the script better and more marketable. I felt that the comments / suggestions met that goal and for that I am grateful. Lastly, I had trouble submitting my work through the website and Laina was very helpful in getting me over that hurdle which added to the satisfying customer experience. I have written ten scripts and based upon this experience I plan to submit them all to Script P.I.M.P. for coverage. Thank you for helping make my writing better."
-PB (January, 2004)

"Gosh, Laina, I just have to tell you that the notes are BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have some major work to do, but am very encouraged! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys--and this gall--are A-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yee-haw!"
-Z (January, 2004)

"Hi Laina,
Sean was an enormously thorough and dedicated Evaluator. His investment of time and attention to my script was above and beyond what I had anticipated - even offering to forward it on to certain industry contacts after I complete a polish. How rewarding for me that someone could be so engaged by my writing! There's screenwriting coverage and then there's meta-screenplay analysis - that's the deeper level of examination that looks at structural nuances and emotional evocativeness. For many screenwriters at that "certain level" (good but not yet great), this is a crucially necessary but rare component in our maturity as writers of movies. This is what Sean McKittrick gave to me. Bravo to him, and kudos to Chadwick and ScriptPIMP for hiring him to provide this much needed service. Many thanks,"
-Gia Gordon (January, 2004)

"I was very pleased with the comments / suggestions made by my reviewer on my script Duty's Call. I felt every comment and suggestion had merit and showed the reviewer took the time to thoroughly review the script. However, the comments / suggestions were presented in such a way as to be encouraging not degrading which helped in providing enthusiasm to do a rewrite based upon the feedback.
The comments / suggestions laid the foundation for a thorough rewrite which I hope to submit after 1/29/04. One of the primary goals of submitting a work for coverage is to receive feedback that can make the script better and more marketable. I felt that the comments / suggestions met that goal and for that I am grateful."
-Paul Bruno (January, 2004)

"Dear Laina, Can you please thank Sean on my behalf for his helpful notes (Comedy "Buy, Borrow or Steal"). It was a nice surprise to have my script read by him. I think he`s a great addition to an already great team.cheers,"
-Camilla (January, 2004)

"Thanks for helping me better understand the process. My notes arrived a couple of days later, and they are excellent -- worth every penny. No candy-coating, the reviewer made many incisive judgements and provided some clarity in ways to think about addressing the flaws in my script. Like a good teacher -- honest and encouraging enough to drive deeper thought and better work from me. Thanks,"
-Josh (January, 2004)

"I wanted to let you know that I just gained representation for my Scriptpimp recommened screenplay "PSYCHOTIC ELEMENT". I sent a query letter to Sheri Williams at the Williams Literary Agency,(who I found through your database). She loved script and signed me on as a new client."
-Stephen Treen (January, 2004)

It definitely gives me something to think about. Just wanted to thank you and let you know the feedback was appreciated. With Regards"
-Tanya Bijlani (January, 2004)

"Sean gave some cool suggestions that will only make the story better. I only wish we would have had more time. The two hours just flew by"
-Otto Holm (January, 2004)

-D.W. Alberta, Canada

"Thank you so much! Your feedback is vital to perfecting my screenplay."

"I'm flattered and delighted at your comments regarding my script. One sits for hours and hours drafting and writing and tweaking dialogue, always hoping/believing/praying you've got a fun story and/or an interesting set of characters. But it's not until someone else likes it that I can claim vindication. So I'm humbled and thrilled."
-B.H. Dallas, TX

"After sending my script to other services and paying an enormous amount of money, your coverage was the only one that gave me an inside depth of writing my thriller. I was able to follow a guideline, come up with a stake and make it believable. The way you broke down the coverage into different categories really helped. I would recommend your service to anyone in the future."
-S.H. Hyde Park, MA

"I'm very impressed by the high quality coverage that you gave my work. After what I've lived through on and beyond the 9/11 disaster here in NYC, your focus, constructive, and positive criticism is precisely what I need to get back on track with a fresh rewrite. You communicate effectively, steering me toward improvement. That's a gift."

I want to thank you once again for your concise, yet very helpful notes. I'm placing my script on the back burner for now, but I will be submitting my romantic comedy. I eagerly await your excellent feedback. Thanks again."
-R.F. Colorado Springs, CO

"Thank you for your thoughtful comments and your time in reviewing the script."
-A.B. Laguna Beach, CA

"I can't thank you enough for your critique of my screenplay. It is extremely valuable, much appreciated and will be the basis of my next rewrite.
